My silk-screen in action |

Blurry image of some final prints |
This evening I just completed week three (half-way point) of a screen-printing course I am taking at
Black Church Print Studios in Temple Bar. Am really enjoying it so far, love the craft element, working on an actual physical process makes such a nice change from pointing and clicking all day. Having said that, one aspect of it that I think is interesting is how digital skills can come into play in the preparation of the original image that is then transferred to screen for printing, creating a nice symbiosis between analogue and digital processes. Means you can have your cake and scan it in, mess about with it in Photoshop, chemically transfer it onto silkscreen and print it on nice paper with rich inks. Or eat it or something.
